I HAVE HAD SOME SHERWIN WILLIAMS JK 4649 MIXED
IT DOES SEEM TO BE TOO BRIGHT TO MATCH ORIGINAL COLOUR. IS THE THE PROPER COLOUR FOR 1953 MH44.
ANY BETTER ALTRENATIVE?

Like the bogus bright yellow MH decals that flood
the Web, anything can pass for paint. Non-sheet
metal of old iron, such as cast, can still be done with a quality brush. DuPont offers Imron,
which can be applied with brush, roller, or spray. They had a MHF yellow, I will call combine
rim paint, not straw yellow. DuPont Finishmaster
stores are pro's, suggesting I remove the front
tire, they clean an inner rim area, match it. I
have straw yellow, 333-1564, 2 qts, $26.00. The
brush application worked on the wheels. The store
was 0082, your store may be able to access that
store's code. Avoid the garish, bright yellow decals, the more 'golden' yellow are out there.

Van Sickle has the best in all tractor and industrial enamels. They can match any color from the original formulas. Give it a try!
