Massey 1130 Perkins Diesel Again

Thanks for the responses to my earlier question. The consensus seems to be that only Perkins were used in this tractor. I have also found that Perkins liberally licensed other manufacturers to make their engines. The engine on my 1130 has MR within a diamod cast into the block above the serial number. Could this be a manufacturers logo?

Also, are there any special considerations to be taken into acount when replacing the fluids. The op. manual states that the engine oil should be of a special high detergent type and does not recommend standard multi-viscoscity oils. What should I use?

Hydraulic fluid. Anything special?

How big a plow will this thing pull?

Bob, The lady I bought this from wanted 5k I offered 3k, we settled in the middle. Tractor is in ok shape but needs work on the fuel system. These things seem to be worth about 7.5 k in good working order.

As far as motor oil I've always used a quality 15W-40 diesel motor oil, and for hydraulic fluid I use a quality hyd/trans fluid. Have not plowed with it in years, but when I did it handled a Massey 880 5x16 with ease.
