Can anyone tell me about IMT tractors and why they look so much like MF. Also this tractor is in good-solid condition. What is the price range for such a tractor in Louisiana?

Thanks.

Charles

I own an IMT 560 DeLuxe. Mid 1980's I love this tractor. I paid $3700 from a local dealer.

I'm sure they are MF Licencees, ie they build tractors to MF's design using a mixture of MF supplied and their own parts. There are a number of Licencees around the world, probably the biggest are Tafe in India and Uzel in Turkey.

Made in Romania? Line up a parts supplier first. They don't fetch a high price here in KY. Do a search on the "Orphans" message board.

I have one. I think it is a 542 and I like it.
Parts are available from Robinson & Grisham,
Guntown, MS. Phone 662-869-1028. I have rebuilt
my engine and the parts all have "Massey-Ferguson"
on them. The IMT has better power steering and
shifts better than the Massey-Ferguson.
