Stuck clutch - MF 50

I'm considering purchasing a '58 MF50 gas, with loader, etc. Runs great, but the clutch is stuck. When you press the pedel, the springs move, but the clutch plate is rusted to the flywheel (I suspect). I pulled the inspection cover, and there was a small amt. of rainwater in the housing. The clutch springs, etc. have heavy condensate-type rust on them (even here in Colorado). Is there any way to tap or pry inside the housing to attempt to free up the clutch, without breaking apart the tractor? Supposedly, the tractor hasn't moved in 8 months, so it's not as if this has been stuck for 10 years... I tried just stuffing the trans in gear, and it will go, but you can't stop the tractor without shutting it off or pulling the high-low lever to the 'S' (start) position.

Thanks!
Steve

steve,i have had some success in the past by running the engine until it gets hot,the heat will transfer to the flywheel and clutches and take it for a gallop up the road(headland)and look for a rise or bit of a hill and with your foot down on the clutch alter engine revs up and down and applying brakes on and off hard(hope they work) ,in a lot of cases this has worked for me.good luck buddy!
