I have a '52 grey Pony, serial # PGA 20102. Has anyone ever heard of a grey '52? I know that this particular Pony was originally grey because I inherited it from the original owner.

I have read that the Gray Massey-Harris-Feguson Gray Pony was built in 1954 and sold in 1957 throught Ferguson deals as there were 300 of them, All this is great and is asking for more re-study. amd also wanting to buy one for my collection Wayne

According to "The American Tractor-A Century of Legendary Machines" by P. W. Ertel, as well as an article in Wild Harvest magazine, the merger of Massey-Harris and Ferguson occurred in August of 1953. So I'm curious how a 52 Pony could have "Massey-Harris-Ferguson" stamped on it if the merger didn't occur until '53. That's a mystery to me.

Keith,
Does yours actually say Massey-Harris-Ferguson on the serial number plate? I thought you said it did in another posting in this forum.

I have a grey Pony.I don't believe any were made in 52'.Look at the serial # tag on the front right frame just above the front axle.It should read Massey Harris Ferguson Limited. My serial # is 22624 And should be 53'.Maybe yours is a very early one.

I have two Gray Ponys, s/n 23242 and 23632. Both tags read Massey-Harris-Ferguson.

After the merger of Massey Harris & Massey Ferguson, they built the pony in both colours. The grey version was called Massey Ferguson however. Identical tractors I read, except colours & Decals. Forgot the book perhaps the great big book of massey tractors
