I bought this in a package deal from a farmer who had retired, it is an original lpg tractor, has factory wide front, and factory 3 point hitch, and an aftermarket power steering unit on it. I may try to get it running when it warms up some around here. Anyone know the procedure to start one of these? I hope to get it sold on ebay, because I never wanted an Lpg tractor, but it came in a package deal, and I know nothing about Lp gas systems, period.

This one seems to have about everything it is supposed to have, he is looking for the key to it, and it appears to be missing a shield around the 3 point cylinder.

yeah, but easy to fix that problem... that 3 point hitch is competely orginally , its not aftermarket.. thats made by massey harris... its in my parts book that matched what u have.. i saw that on ebay too... long ways from where i live.. if it was pretty near where i live i would have go for it..

Well he told me it was a Special, and underneath this coat of paint, you can read 44 Special, but it doesn't have a hand clutch like a Special, and it has the 260 in it, instead of the 277. So what is it? I say it is a regular 44, by the serial number chart on here, it is one of the last ones made.

well i think it's special frame just because of the cast wheels and hand live power clutch and 3 pt. and they might have used the 260 in the lp or engine was changed

Here is a picture of the business end of the tractor, and it does not have a hand clutch, so I really do not know if it is a 44, or a 44 Special?

Well if it does do $2075.00, it will have a new owner. I would make a few bucks on it, but not a lot, the reserve is $2000.00.

No doubt it's a special. The live PTO was an option. The diesel and LPG's 44 specials used the 260, only the gas specials used the 277. I have one just like it. Thought I had the only one made. Now I see there is another one. I wonder how many were made? You can give it to me if you don't give it to Shannon. Very nice!!!

haha, i asked frist.. but go ahead u can have it... just too far to grab it! would be cool to have a lp.. yes lp only comes with h260 not h277 at all.. so im really sure its probably all competely orginally , that would make value go up alot more..

Thanks for the compliment, I do not know how many were made like this one, at least 2 I guess! Maybe someone will chime in with the amount made?
