Thinking of selling my 180. It's in good shape and the paint is faded. Tires are good and it only needs the lights hooked up on one side. Going to try for a bigger tractor. It also has a loader on it. Could anybody tell me (in the ballpark) what it might be worth? Thanks in advance.

Dennis,

It would also be helpful to know where you might be and the brand of loader and if just a bucket or if other attachments are included.

WHere are you? How many hours? Recent work? Brakes? These all help in getting a value. Check the site below for a dealer retail:

It is a diesel and the hours reads 0858. Good brakes and rebuilt injectors and pump rebuilt. There has been alot of varios work done since I have owned it. I will check out the website you posted also and see if I can get some info there as well. Thanks alot.

I would "guess" about $5000 to $7000 depending on area of country and overall condition. The loader helps the price as well as the diesel. Those Massey's are pretty tough tractors. Good Luck on the sale.

This Massey 180 uses diesel fuel. I purchased the tractor in 1994. New brakes installed in 1994. The Multi-power transmission was rebuilt in 1996 by a Massey dealer. The injectors and injector pump were rebuilt in 2001. All tires were new on the tractor when I purchased it. A new rear rim was purchased in 2002. The loader is an older Kelly loader with manure bucket and dirt pan skirt from a Massey 65.

Dennis, There is an ad on this site's Classified Ads where a person is Looking to buy an MF 180. Search by state, use MI.
P.S. Gas or Diesel? and G or D? are the same person, me;-)

Can someone explain to me the MultiPower tranny? I'm a Deere man but just bought a 180 diesel at a sale. Thanks.

Multi Power(MP) is "somewhat" similar to IH's Torque Amplifier(TA). If plowing and you hit a "tough" spot, drop the MP to low without stopping and changing gears. Would suggest you get an Owner's Manual and get the straight skinny before you get too far. MP DOESN'T provide engine braking in Low (I THINK!), going down a hill with a big load behind you is NOT the time to learn this.
