A manufacturer has been found who is prepared to fabricate high quality replicas of Ferguson F-40 grill panels and center access doors. Engineering has been completed and prototype units have already been made. Prices will depend upon how large a market exists. If you are interested, contact either of the following immediately.

Joe Burk at 618-755-4733 or
Jim W. Storment at 618-242-7184 or jstorm(at)midwest.net

Paul,

Do you know whether the center access door will be made to latch at the top or if it will be hinged with a latch on the side?

Joe, my undersanding is that they plan to make both types, the side-opening one for the '56 and the top-opening one for the '57.

That's great. One can not only get a nice looking grill but it will be authentic as well. I'm delighted someone is doing this. To whom do we owe our thanks...you, Paul?

No thanks are do to me. The two fellows from Illinois, Joe Burk and Jim Storment, found someone to build them. I'm just passing the information along. Since I have two F-4o's of my own and have had to scrounge for years to get access doors, I have a personal interest.

Thanks for the info. I have also been searching for a couple years for a 56' model. I do have some extra original used pieces for a 57' The grille is the last item needed to complete my restoration. Thanks again.
Does anyone have a source for the chrome strips on front of MF50 or MH50 grilles? I have had two of the long strips made by hand but it gets quite expensive and the short curved pieces are very hard to make.
