By trading in a tractor, you WILL get royally screwed. The dealer will make it appear that he is giving you XXX thousand dollars for your tractor; when in reality he has "overpriced" the new tractor; thereby giving you a LOT less than stated for your old tractor. Sell your tractor and buy your new one outright, after negotiating and getting sales price quote from multiple dealers - - even if they are not close to you. You will save several thousand dollars this way.

There is a MF65 in our local paper for $3200. I just bought one on Saturday for $3500. I agree with Alvinms, dealers will not give you a reasonable price for you machine. Try an add or put it near the road with a sign.

P.S. would you sell me the hood ordament before you trade it in or sell it off?

Jeff

Guy, this may sound cold, but most dealers will trade, just like you don't even have one. Sell yours, then buy. Been there several times. alvinnms

Got to third that. Most dealers don't want your stuff. They want your CASH. Usually they jack the price up enough on whatever you are buying so that in effect they are getting your tractor in trade for almost nothing.
For a dealer to buy something from you outright....well just forget that idea right now.
