MF2135, shifter stuck, need help

My 2135 shifter is stuck hard. I can move the forward/reverse gear and move both forward and reverse but still can't get the shifter to move. I pulled the shifter handle and found the spring busted in two but both halves came out fine.

This isn't the standard "push/pull the gear" fix. Anybody have some advice?

I need to get this tractor back on line quick. I'm about 1/2 way through burning a slash pile and really need the loader to push up the pile.

I would jack it up and rock the back wheels while someone tries to get it into neutral by moving the shifter rails. regards
