hi last weekend i purchased a new set of brake shoes for my 35 .tonight i started to put them on and noticed the hole in the shoe where the spring fits into is 3/4 inch farther away than the ones i took off. i dont think i could ever stretch the spring out that far to ever get it hooked . i think there the wrong ones what do you guys think.

Why don't you just re-line your old shoes? The bonded linings come away by boiling the old shoes in water, then rivet the new linings on.
