What paint for MF 245 Perkins Diesel Engine

On my MF 245 I have just put in a new timing cover gasket, front seal and rear seal. The engine has been completely degreased. I would like to paint it. What is the proper primer and paint for the MF 245 Perkins diesel?

The MF245 engine & drive train is the Flint Metallic Gray just like the MF35 & MF135

LOUIE- I believe the 245 model years have the "silver mist" paint color on the engine, trans, and drive train. Go to your MF dealer and they should have it in stock. The older models had the "flint grey metallic". Ray

Ray,
Thanks for the reply. My question is should I apply any special primer or is the "Silver Mist" a primer and heat resistant paint combination suitable for diesel engines and the heat they generate. I appreciate your expertise. Louie.

I see two different answers that you have rec.
The Flint Metallic is the correct paint for the
engine and drive train. The silver mist is used
other areas of sheet metal etc. P/N for spray can
of Flint is 841683M91 unless changed by now. Avail
at Agco/MF dealer
