We are getting ready to overhaul the engine in our 1970 MF 30 Industrial loader tractor and I have a question about the originality.

The operator's manual we have for the tractor shows the model to have a 203 Perkins diesel engine, but our tractor has the 3-cylinder 152 engine in it instead.

Was this engine available in the MF30 Industrial or has the engine in our tractor been swapped at some point in the past? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The MF30 did have an AD4-203 diesel engine to put an AD3-152 in place of it you would have needed some type of spacer about 4 to 5 inches long between the engine & the front support for the hood and side panels to fit. Could you possibly have and MF30B built from 1975 to 1983 they did have the AD3-152 engine. I really can't see anyone going to the trouble to make the spacers to fit the 3 cylinder in a MF30. The MF30 looks like an AG MF165 painted yellow the MF30B looks like the MF255 painted yellow
