Massey Harris 444 high arch- paint 4 years ago. All of it is there. Runs and pulls good. Has 3 point. How many are still around?

A lot less, if you sell it to a genuine 'Harris'
Guy, verses e bay speculators, parts jockeys. In
serious discussion, no one can define restored.
Paint masks a lot of band aid work, bondo, the
trash MF pink paint. 444's are legendary for their
beauty, but lack of brawn, in that hi/lo weak
ten speed, stressed keyway on the input shaft.
No replacement parts, so noisey drivetrain. With
little of options, history, tires, these can go for
nine to twentyfive hundred. Parts are scarce, the
production numbers low, so aftermarket avoids it.
Specials are a better tractor to restore, the
late series borrow from the 444 & 44,stronger
tractor, but no five color paint scheme-classic!

I would tend to disagree, I have not seen many specials restored, and are worth far less than a 444, last in the large mhs, 444s restored , bring around 4000, unrestored with old paint, running 2000. to 3000, the 3 point and wide front end adds value mh collector

Hello 333, This was what I had been wondering. With what I have read, these old beauties ought to be collectable. I've looked for 5 years for a diesel 555 high arch and ain't seen one. Only seen 4 like the 444 we've got. None of them were local.
Thanks for your reply.

444s are getting more collectable but not as much as 333s and 555s, 555s are hard to find in good shape, 444 lps are kinda rare,I do not know if there are 555 high arch, they did make a 50 high arch
