I have a Woods Do-all 195 loader on the 135 and am using the Aux. tractor pump which is 4.8 GPM. Looking to mount a pump to the front. Woods recommends a 14 GPM pump. I picked up a Vickers vane 8 GPM and a larger gear pump (GPM not known)from the bone yard. I would like some ideas as how to mount the pump. The tractor has 2 tapped holes and 2 through holes in the front casting. Are adapter plates made to utilize these holes? Are there diagrams available as I would like to make it myself. Is it recommended to mount something on the loader frame that is in the area. I believe I need a 3/4" x 10 thd left hand threaded shaft to attach to the crankshaft. Can this be attached directly to the pp shaft or recommend a lovejoy coupling to allow for movement. I've expermented with each pp running from the PTO at approx 700 -750 RPM and at that RPM they operate the loader somewhat faster. Hoping that doubling the RPM it will make a noticeable difference. Looking for suggestions and advice. Also what size reservor do I need? I noticed in the experment the oil level in my make shift reservor did not change much. Thanks

We have a pump mounted on the front of our 165. We had to buy a new splined drive-hub that bolts direcly to the pulley/dampener and stub shaft after the 1st one became worn out. The pump bolts to the front bumper/ weight frame on the front, and the pump has a 40B12 sprocket and so does the shaft, attatching them with a coupling chain.(40B12 means # 40 roller chain, 12 tooth, made w/ hub as 1 pc. I work at a shop that makes ALL sizes of gears and sprockets) I plumbed the rear-end in as the reservoir. I took the pto cover plate off, drilled/ tapped a 1" fine hole throught the cover, took a 1/2" pipe coupler and threaded the outside for the 1" thread. I put a 45 degree street elbow on the inside w/ a peice of 4" pipe in it for the inside, and on the outside a 90 deg. street el. and hid it under the platform, with a hose running up to the front to the pump. If you have warm weather, you should put in a hyd. filter, but up hear in Wisconsin they cause too much restriction in this type of set-up. For the return I put it in a plug above the PTO plate, under the seat. Big Dean can show you, he helped me out a lot on this.
Email me if you need any more help, I would be glad to help.

Hi,

We are looking to put a front pump on our MF 35. Where did yopu buy the stub shaft that bolts to the fron damper, and all the other parts? We were looking to use a sliding collar shaft idea, like the sliding gear tranny, and we are open to ideas?

Thanks from Canada

Will
