I am looking at a 1965 Massey Ferguson 65 propane tractor ($1950). Anyone know if you can put a loader on it and, if so, any suggestions on a source.

Also, anything to watch out for? Looks like it is in good shape, but I have never dealt with a propane power source before.

I don't know if the last post was about a 165 or a 65 but I have a 65 and I went to check into getting a loader and I was advised by several people not to do it because the front end was not as strong as it should be now I knoe this will draw fire from everyone who has successfully had a loader on a 65 and I know there are a bunch but it wasn't going to be heavy duty enough for me (1200 pound bales) I think a Koyker was going to run me 1800 if I remember right bottom line I got a chance to buy a D-17 with an Allis loader on it and I jumped on it and it is nice

I think thats about the size tractor our Allis loader is off of, we bought an Oliver 1755 with it cobled onto. That died and we had it put on our 165. Fits nicely and we could leave the exhaust vertical.

Yes, you can find a loader. We actually have an Allis Chalmers loader mounted, just had a weld shop re-fabricate the brackets to fit our 165. You can get other aftermarket loaders such as Bush-Hog, Westendorf, etc. Do a search on the web and you can find their websites. Good luck
