Does anyone know the horsepower rating for a 1941 Model 81 continental 124 cubic inch engine?

Acording to the Massey-Harris data book, the 81 and 82 had 20.8 drawbar and 27 belt HP. Nebraska test #376-Sept. 1941. Serial # tested 400,475. Hope this helps.

Gave you the wrong site.Click onto tractor shed site on side of screen. It will show to select a antique tractor.Click onto Masse-Harris.It will go to a page showing different MH sites. Then click onto the unofficial MH page and it will show a list of the Nebraska tests done on MH tractors.

Did some more looking.Found that a NebraskaTest was done on a MH81.It was done from Sept-29 to Oct-20-1941.Test #376.It showed a rated load of 16.41 drawbar horsepower. If you click onto TractorLinks on the side of the screen then go into the unofficial MH page you can find the remaining test info.

I found a decrepancy, in Keith Oltrogges "Massey Tractor Data Book" he has Nebraska Test 376 With ser. # 400,475 with a drawbar hp of 20.8 and a belt horsepower of 27. This may have been with the 140 Continental, but he still uses the test 376 as his findings. I'm not saying you are wrong, I have found other discrepancies in this book..

From the data I have on the MH81 it was rated as a Two-plow tractor under normal conditions. It don't show a actual horse-power figure.
