Good evening all,

I bought today what I think is a MF35, but I am not certain. The serial number tags are not readable. It is a diesel. Are there any numbers I can provude from other places on the tractor that could help positively ID it? I'll try to post a picture tomorrow.

It is in OK shape. It will need a head gasket and will need the leak from the weep hole fixed, which sounds like it may not be too easy, from a previous thread I posted.

Once I get it ID'd, I can get the manuals, etc. Also, as I am in the middle of restoring an F-20, I would not mind paying to have the leak fixed if I could do so reasonably. I live in Ann Arbor, MI if anyone knows of a person or business in the area.

Thanks,

Tony

OK, I found the serial number after all. It is SNMY359374.

So, from browsing the site, it looks like that means:
S = normal width.
N = Diesel, Perkins A3 152.
M = dual clutch fitted
Y = diff lock fitted.
Built in 1964

Anything else modelwise I should know. What is a MF35X versus just an MF35. I assume mine is the MF35.

Thanks,

Tony

Tony, You have the same tractor that I have. The 35X is the deluxe and includes differential lock, tractormeter, dual clutch, and high/low range. There may be other features, but that is all that I know of. C. T.
