I have a 1972 MF 165 w/Perkins 4 cyl. Diesel. The oil pressure guage stays way over to the right, even with the engine shut off. I took the oil pressure line loose at the engine block expecting to see oil squirt out under pressure, but nothing happened. Does this mean that the guage itself is defective? I would think so. I plan on removing the line and checking for some kind of blockage. My question is: Is the guage repairable, or do I just go down to the napa store and order a new one? Thanks!

Sounds like the gauge, you can find a match at napa or other auto stores.

Thanks DH! Like to fell out of my chair when the MF Dealer in Tulsa quoted $60 for just the guage. NAPA store in Bristow, Ok. doesn't have one but suggested I bring it in and he may find one that will fit fine for less than 20 bucks. Thanks again!
