Before you start this job, I would get a real MF Repair Manual, and a Parts Manual.

You need to remove the trumpets one at a time. Drain the transmission fluid and jack up the tractor about it's centre and fit wedges in front axle as for splitting. Remove all connections, linkage, brake rods etc from trumpets. Take the weight of the trumpet preferably with a crane. I've never tried doing them with a trolley jack as they are very heavy if they fall off. I also prefer to remove the fenders although this is not strictly necessary. Undo the ring of bolts and slide the trumpet off. When you sling it remember that the outside is heavier than the inside so pick up about where the fender bolts on. When you remove the left hand trumpet be careful that the crownwheel diff assy does not fall out. Remove the back plate (2 countersunk screws). If you've got dry brakes be sure to replace the oil seal in this. Replace worn components, if dry brakes clean all rust from splines, lots of copaslip, and reassemble. Be sure to balance the brakes when finished.
