Anyone know where I can get an engine rebuild kit or engine overhaul parts for a Massey Ferguson 25 diesel. These were only made for a couple of years. It uses a 107 Perkins engine. Also anyone know where one of these tractors may be avaliable for parts?

Thanks

Jim, I had one for a while, Engine parts were not a problem, find a Perkins Engine dealer (There is one just accross the Pa line here; Jersey Engine Builders, I could find the # if you need.) The problem I had was the other parts specific to the 25 (mine was pretty well gone) so I opted out of mine. I had an AGCO dealer that dealt Massey from the begining tell me they won't even take parts requests or repair work on them due to parts availability. The guy that got mine offered more than I wanted because it had the hood ornament intact, I see he has it going now, so he musta used his existing one for parts. Only time I have ever sold a tractor that was part of my collection...wish I had not have sold it. I had the history of the tractor and everything...live and learn. Pete

Good to know i am not the only one having such a great tractor:), there is a rebuild kit available in pittsburgh[ don't have the web site at present], found it under a search for "perkins engines" and they had a complete engine to sell[rebuilt] prices i didn't get.
I expect my 107 to be ready this week, i am using a 4-108 crank/oil pump/lifters to fix mine. SO good news is that a complete 4-108 will fit the tractor, and most parts will interchange. EXCEPT the 107 has wet liners and the 108 is dry lined, so the heads and blocks are different between the two engines, otherwise two can be used to re-build one.
Also the 108 head has glow plugs for cold weather starting.
A possible source is an "old" reefer unit that used a perkins engine, it would be a 4-108, but be sure to look for an add on unit. The factory trailors used a lower hp engine, the add-ons would cool and heat the trailor, so they had the 25 hp you want. The fuel pump would need adjusting as it is set to run at 60cycles, or use your orginal pump.
Hope it helps.

Parts for the 25 engine is not a problem as you can buy a new 4.107 rebuilt kit from any Perkins dealer. For the other parts keep in mind that the 130 is exactly the same machine as the 25. Only difference is the hp rating of the engine.
