I have a 87 MF 240 Perkins diesel that is blowing the coolant out of the radiator. I have replaced the thermostat and the pressure cap. Has anyone else had this problem? What was the fix?

It sounds like head gasket trouble but don't just fit a new gasket. Have the head and block surfaces checked to see that they are straight. If needed the head would need to be surfaced to true it up. If this is done the valves will need to be reset to the manufacturers specs. After this refit the head with a new gasket making sure the head is torqued to the correct setting. After the motor has been run for a while and warmed up it is essential that the head is re-torqued. This takes up any movement in the new gasket which usually occurs. Remember to reset the tappets after re-tightening the head.

The solution is a new head gasket, most likely.

It could have a bad head gasket and be putting compression into the cooling system.

Agree with other posts. Hopefully its just a gasket but while you have the head off check very carefully for cracks from cylinder to stud holes on block particularly at the point where the gasket is blown. (if its blown) We have had trouble with that and I'm told it is a known problem.
