I found a 1950 Massey 55 setting in a shed in cental MO. Owner says tractor runs good, it has not been run in 2years ,tin is good tires are fair raditor is good, has no PTO, He is asking 2000 ,is this a fair price.

diesel or gas? hows the body? tires bad? i got mine for $900 but i had to pay $400 for him to haul to my house... you can see my mh 55D in tractor photo gallery under my name shannon bone..thats how much i paid for it..

i would say probably around $2500 if everything is top condition but no fresh paint, if its all fixed up with fresh paint i would say around $3000-$4000, once i saw MH 55D and it was in perfect condition , professional paint, brand new tires all brand new stuff seals etc... selling for $5000 .. that was the highest i ever see went for..

I'd say he's high on his asking price. Not much there other thana big old huge tractor without a PTO. Probably no hydraulics either? Be great if you had to pull something heavy or plow a field but as far as old tractors go, I wouldn't think the MH55's were really that sought after in the marketplace. On the other hand, might be a good pulling tractor if you were into that competitive stuff.
