Can anyone tell me how to determine what the firing order on a 1960 Massey Ferguson Model 65 (gasoline engine G-176) distributor cap is? Also, is cylinder # 1 the first cylinder in the front of the engine (near the radiator), or is it the first cylinder in the back of the engine (near the driver)? Thanks.

The firing order for G176 Continental engine used in the MF65 is 1-3-4-2. The distributor turns counterclockwise. The number 1 plug is the plug at the front nearest the radiator. On the cap if the distributor is installed as it came from the factory the lower hole on the front side of the cap is number one but the distributor can be installed so any one of the 4 holes could be number one.
