It sounds like either the MH 50 or MH 65 would make an ideal replacement for my Ford. What years were these models made, and was power steering standard equiptment? Also what is the actual HP on them, and is there any advantage/disadvantage to either? I am willing to take my time for the right machine. Even tho the Ford is limited, it is solid and works for blading snow until spring when I really need a bigger tractor. Thanks!

Another comment; check out a Massey 135 diesel.
I own a UK version with the heavier front axle.
These are short; similar to the old Ford but
with many advantages! Better gear selection,PS.,
diff. lock, live PTO, Great on fuel(diesel)
Much more power,(38)underrated!
The UK version will handle a loader better and
most have P.S.

The MHF-50 or MF65 are a good choice. The horsepower of these are 40 and 50 if diesel;35 and 45 if gas. Most don't have P.S. but I would want this if you ever install a loader. They both have a heavy enough front axle for a loader.
The transmission is ok. but sometimes will lock
in gear but this can be solved by undoing the fillerplug at the top beside the shift levers,
and prying the gears over that are locked(stuck).
I have owned a 65' diesel for nineteen years. It was very strong and parts weren't hard to get like
other uncommon brands that don't exist anymore. The only thing you might want to do is put a car
alternator on it so the battery will always be well charged. I used mine at nights a lot to plow snow and this cure worked good! Send me a message sometime and we can discuss further issues!

50's and 65's were good solid tractors. Multipower was a distraction, I prefer the straight 6 or 8 speed.

I am planning buy a MF50, but it has a transmission broblem. The current owner says the converter(trnasmission) has to be replaced. Can I know what does it really mean? Where can I look for parts for MF 50s.
