Manual steering-When wheels are turned left, right wheel won't return to right. You can push with your foot on linkage and right wheel will snap back and be O.K. 'til you turn left again. HELP, Please!

Your right steering sector is bad, probably broken teeth. You need to take the steering box apart to find out what is wrong.

In working with the problem, I found an adjustment nut on the opposite side from the steering linkage going to the right wheel that appeared loose. By backing the locking nut off and adjusting the slotted screw out, I've gotten the wheels to work. I, too, thought I probably had broken teeth but this seems to be working and it kept me from having to disassemble the gearbox. Can you tell me what it is that I've done with this adjustment?

You need 3 real MF manuals for your tractor, before you cause more damage than you fix. Operator, Repair, and Parts.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've ordered the manuals.
