I have a MF175 with perkins diesel. The injector pump is driping fuel from the small cover plate on the side of the pump. If I remove the cover to install a gasket will I encounter anything held in by this cover? The bolt heads holding the cover have a wire on them to keep from backing out. Any help out there?

Thanks, Don

I tried to make a gasket one time for a cav pump same set up but only two small screws holding small plate on this was a david brown 990 but a CAV type pump. I ended up getting a factory seal as I could not get it to stop leaking think it was about 6.00 canadian for it but that stopped the leak.
regards
rod

Don that window is for timing the injection pump & the fuel can be adjusted through it but there is nothing that you can hurt be removing it to replace the gasket.
