I just bought a tractor, and I am looking for photos of TO 30, and 35s. This tractor has an adj. front end, z134 moter(616392), HI\LO transmission, and the SN is TO 106995. There is green paint on the moter, under all the grey. The hi lo trans seems to make the tractor about a foot too long, because the brake pedals coming from the back stop under the seat and you couldnt use them if you tried. Iam wondering if the 30, and 35 used the same steering gear box (it leaks like crazy) and the same rear end, it also leaks out all over the tires. Any help would be appreciated

Roger

All the engines they had in the Fergusons were good strong engines, very reliable so that is really something never to worry about. My dad and I have a Ferguson 35,going on 20 yrs now and have never done a lick of work to it, except a clutch, and my grandad had it before that for 5 yrs or so and he never had to do any work to it.Take into consideration, this tractor is 42 years old, and is likely going to leak some fluids, it's probably in need of an overhaul before long but will be a great tractor regardless. It is likely oil leaking out and that is what you see on the engine. As for the price $3200 seems pretty reasonable, i've seen them go for five and six thousand before. Well good luck with it if you grab it.

Sounds like a hibrid to me, that s/n is that of a TO 30, not a 35(TO 35 starts at 140001), the Z134 is found in the 35(MF and TO), F40, and MF50. Sounds like someone busted thir TO 30, got parts for a 35, and put them together. The brake pedals should come from the front of the steps, and the left one is hooked to a shaft going through the bellhousing. The pictures of my 55 TO 35 on my website should give you a clue about what your tractor is.
