My MF 35 has two holes where the hood emblem would go. Not sure of the year because it has no serial # plate.

Did the early MF 35's use the rectangular Ferguson plate and later model years use the three triangle MF emblem?

I hope someone corrects me on this one - but here is how I think it was.

After the merger, the 35 was marketed as a Ferguson until 1958 when they started using MF and dropped the separate identies.

So yes, there would have been two emblems as you describe.

Thanks Bill.

What got me going on this was seeing a vintage advertisement for a Massey Ferfuson 35. In the ad photo the tractor had the rectangular Ferguson badge.

Anyone know if the triangular badge also attaches with two posts?

I have a 63 model with the three triangles with wings, it attaches with the two pins also. They have a bad habit of shearing off the pins due to vibration and falling off never to be seen again

I have a 62 with the three triangles with wings and when I started taking it off for painting I noticed it was loose...so I threaded the two posts and double nutted them along with loctite...been five years and just went out to see which one I had...they're still there. Fred OH

Fred - You're the second person to mention "wings". Is this a reference to the wings by the headlights? My 35 has wings. Is there some significance to them?

They're not really wings, they're bars as the original poster called them. Picture 3 triangles, one at the top, one on each side and two bars running from the two lower triangles outward about three or four inches. Fred OH

Thanks for the explanation Fred. I'd like to get me one of those if anyone knows where one is for sale.
