Need some parts for a 1953 MH 44 diesel I am restoring and can't find them anywhere. The items I need are: correct decal set for a diesel, Shift lever boot, and the seal for the 3 point cylinder. Anyone got any ideas where I might find this stuff? MF dealer says he can't get parts for anything this old anymore.

You should be able to get the decal set off ebay. the shift boot fred wolfe i know had a few. and the seal i would check once agin with fred wolfe or NAPA. might even be able to get all three threw Napa or fred wolfe.

To get the correct word 'Diesel', you can scroll
through the decal inventory of a few Internet postings, either Jones Tractor Salvage, or Kline's
has this one. The 'fits like a glove boot': try
the 430 Case boot(twelve dollar one), at a IH
dealer. They have another 430 boot, but the $12.
one fits well. Open the Yellow pages, 'Bearings',
call a supply house that welcomes you to bring the fifty year old seal in, for match-up. They do
this every day. Take your cylinder apart, put the
pieces in your vehicle, so no mysteries at the counter. Hydraulic seals are available. Good luck.
