Guys I really need your advice. I been tractor hunting for a month now. Today I found a MF 175, with loader, and factory installed quick disconnect?? backhoe. Owner doesn't know the year or hours on it. It starts and seems to run okay. no leaks or welds, other than on loader bucket. A hay spear has been added. Paint is faded pretty bad, but no major dents. Seat needs replacing. Has the 3pt hitch arms, etc, in a box. never been on tractor. he is asking 9,500. is this a fair price for the mid west. and is this a good tractor? What should I look for? Rubber is at about 65%. Anyone know how much trouble it is to remove and replace the backhoe? How much does that add to the value of the tractor? I know nothing about MF's. So I really need your input. Thanks HB. Texas

You had better check the front end real good. Those f/end loaders tend to wipe out the front if its not an industral tractor, with the beefed up front. When you pickup a load with f/end loader it not only puts all that weight on front, but also shifts sometimes all the rear end weight to the front, as the rear end will come up off the ground. It just murder for a farm tractor front end.
