My MF135 gas has a MF 200 model loader on it and it just seems to be a bit bigger than what the machine could handle. I was wondering if any of you think this is the correct loader for this tractor or if they made smaller loaders that I might want to swap out.

Thanks.

I am not sure about which size loader is the correct size for a MF 135 tractor. I belive the 200 series is an industrial model but I am not sure. I have been told from some others that it is better to have a loader that is larger than one that is smaller. A larger or industrial loader are made more heavy duty. Having a larger loader will help prevent stress & strains to the loader, bascially your tractor will lose traction before breaking something. The disadvantages are that a larger loader weights more and put more stress on the front end. If the loader works well, I would recommend that you keep it!! Just my opinion.

yes charlie what you said is true, the 200 is an industrial version loader, and that a larger loader will prevent any damage to the loader, BUT if i had a 135 mf with that big of loader on it, i couldn't get it off quick enough, reason 1. your steering gear box either w/power steering or without is getting to the point that no parts are avaliable for it anymore, and the ones that are, cost a small fortune, though it's true that alot of aftermarket suppliers do offer parts, and most importantly, sector shafts, worm gears etc. most do not work in north american model tractors, only uk models, i know since i have tried selling they parts and they don't fit.
i don't really think a smaller loader would take alot of punishment from your 135 since it's not exactly a 10,000 lb. 4wd tractor. if i were you, i would either just take off the loader, and enjoy your nice little tractor for tillage and 3pt. applications, or get a much smaller loader.
i don't know of a factory loader that was made for that size of tractor, up here in canada, EZEE-ON or BUHLER-ALLIED make real nice compact loaders, and they are quick detachable

Thanks for the extra information. I have been looking at loader to add to my 165 dsl, Bushhog makes a 2426QT Medium Duty, which is all I need. Your post reinforced my thoughts on the issue of smaller tractors with loaders (very hard on the front ends) Main reason I look and purchased a MF 165.
