I recently purchased a Massey Ferguson 165 diesel tractor. I know very little about tractors. This one looks pretty good due to recent paint and it cranks and seems to run good. I was told by the service shop I took it to for service that it was an older English made tractor. How can I tell the year model and actual horse power of this tractor? Are the parts on the American made models the same as parts on the English made models? If not, how do I get parts and service manuals for the English model? Any information would be great.
Thanks, Jack Donovan

Jack, if you post the serial no from the manufacturers plate on the dash, and state which side the exhaust is on, I can give you details of year and H.P.

I can't find a data plate on the hood. I'm assuming it's not the original hood. The exhaust comes out on the right side though. Is there a serial number anywhere else on the tractor that might give the year model?
