There is a MF65 I am looking over. I think it is a 60 to 62. I don't remember the 2nd or 3rd sn#.

However, I am interested in what these tractors are selling for. The seller is asking $4500 with a light 7' blande and a dearborn 2 bottom plow. The condition is good. There is a slight oil leak on the stearing box, and an oil leak on the transmission case. (Could be out of the drain seals I did not climb under it to see exactly.)

Is the tractor values page here at all accurate? I just don't see any tractors for sale around here (Ohio) for 500, 800 ar $1500. It listed the 65 at $2500 and less.

There is a MF65 gas on e-bay right now. The current price is 1,750

The item number is 2568816485

I know a few people were looking for one so I thought I would put it out here

I would have to say from my own recent mf 65 purchase, buy it.
I recently paid $ 5300.00 for a 1964 model. A new backblade was thrown in on the deal. The tractor needed nothing and was used daily on a farm since new. The only thing I was thinking of doing was painting it this coming spring, but I'm not even sure I'm gonna do that and take away from it's character. I guess I got lucky, everyone who looks at the machine states how fine of shape it is in compared to all the others they have seen. Funny thing is I was at a tractor dealership looking at 8n fords, not being real impressed at what I saw till The 65 went by on the back of a rolloff. I just happened to be there when it was getting traded in on a new tractor by the original owner. They never even took it off the truck and the same gentleman who sold it new, also sold it to me.

I paid $2200 for a '58 MF-65 with a 6' mower. It needed paint, some sheet metal(grills),a clutch and new tires all around. But it runs like a champ. I've been mowing with it for 3 years now and wouldn't trade it for anything else out there.
$4500 wouldn't be a bad price to pay, but I would try to get it down to $4000

I paid $3500 for a 1960 model diesel that needed new rear tires, and alot of work, including half the front end, a new spindle, replace the rear main. I had well over $5 grand into it when done, but the diesel started great, and I just loved that tractor. I traded it off for a new one. I wish I would've kept it now. From what others have said, it doesn't make a very good loader tractor. I don't know why, but I think it was because of the speed of the hydraulics.

The tractor values listed are generally quite low I would say. Somehow, we just can't seem to resist posting the price on a tractor that somebody almost gave to us so I wouldn't put too much faith in those listings. I would say your price sounds pretty good and not out of line.

Down here in south texas, the least you can find a running tractor with a shredder, is 3500. I was real lucky when I found my MF65 LP model for $900 including a 5 foot mower and drag blade. Nothing wrong with the tractor except that it's LP, a little inconvience in fueling. So, I'd say, try and get the price down to at least 3500.
