I have an oil leak where the stud for the lower lift arm comes out of the side of the differential. Tractor is a 1958 MF50. It is a minor leak but still an agravation. There is no information in the repair or parts manual. Anyone have experience with this? What would I have to do to fix it? Thanks for any help.

the pin that holds the lift arm on is a pin with a nut on the in side and it has come loss and your hole is getting rounded out the only real fix is pull the axel housing and replace the pin or at least retighten it [drain oil first] but if hole is rounded out bad the you will have to use some sealer BUT DON"T WELD

Thanks for the info. It sounds like something that will get a lot worse if not taken care of. Can the nut be accessed If I remove the top transmission cover? I had planned to work on the hydraulic pump anyway.
