I'm thinking on finding an old Massey for tractor rides and such. Have a couple of AC's now, but they don't move out like an old 44 would. How hard is it to find parts for rebuilding the 30's, 44s and 444s. Thanks Max

i would say 44, probably the easiest to find any parts you needed, alot around here..444 is abit harder to find, 444 mostly have same parts as 44 except the engine and transmission box. good luck sbone

Now that my key board is not acting up.

parts for the 30, 33 and 44 will not be to hard, but most parts will not be new. most you will have to get used. now the 444 is a different beast. the engine parts you can get, but now the transmition and tin ornaments and a few extra might give you are hard time geting ahold of them. the paint on a 444 is a little more coplex than the 44 as the engine is copper or bronze and the rest is red. the ones that i have seen have black parts on them but i am sure that them would be repaints. if you have worked on tractor engines before than engine work on the Mh's is a walk in the park. you will find tha tthe cam shafts on the Mhs dont have bearing inserts, unless the block has been machined.

Hey Steven, How about oversize rod & main brgs. for a 44 gas. All the engine kits I've seen say std. brgs. only. I was at the country parts store a couple yrs. back and overheard him tell a customer oversize were hard to find then. Can't ask him now cause he's left us. I don't have mine tore down yet but am reasonably positive crank needs ground. Is there a source?? I have e-mailed several web dealers w/no response. Thanks. Fred

?I am sure that it cant be all that had to find over sized bearings, but yes them kits from apha parts only has standard sizes. you might try napa, an if they can't get them. try looking online for a place called bearings inc. they should have your bearings.
