I have the hydraulic pump/reservoir/valve combination off a Massey MF 80 Combine. I want to use it for a log splitter but need to know the approximate rpm the pump is designed to operate at. I will be connecting it to an electric motor that runs at 3250 rpm and expect I will have to reduce it down considerably to operate correctly. Can anyone help me with this?

We had a MH 60 SP Combine. I still have the book from it. I'm not sure. But i would have to think the pump on a 60 is the same as on the 80. The 60 had a Pesco hydraulic unit. Model number 052490-011-01 Rotation viewed from drive end, Counter clockwise. Speed 2500 R.P.M.

I hope this helps
