I looked at a MF-135 diesel last week. It has manual steering with about 1/4 turn of play. The hour meter is not working, but is showing 4500 hours. Good tires, lights, amp guages work, new paint. The hydraulics seem to shake and are a little slow up and down. It might need a filter cleaning. The 2 stage clutch seems like it needs more pedal to engage the pto, maybe there is some external adjustment. Asking price of $3600, I think this is a 72' model. Your opinions please...

thanks for the advice. The hydraulic pump lifts fine (1000 lbs round bale) but it is slow going down. I also got him to lower the price to $3500. Just not comfortable since he is not the original owner though.

I agree with the post below, better to pass this one up. Sounds like some major rebuild projects, AND you still won't have power steering.

Since you asked, I think I would pass on this one, unless you are are looking for a new expensive hobby. The worst case scenario for the clutch, steering, and hydraulics can take quite a bite out of the beer budget.
