I am new to this forum, being a die hard Moline guy. Last winter I traded a UB Diesel for a 44-6. Grandpa had one once and always wanted to find one. I have an extra U (standard) around the place in decent shape that I have had trouble selling even for a low price. A friend wants to trade me for a Massey 44 (4cyl.). My U is straight and original, and this 44 is original, runs good, good tires, looks great, and has working lights etc. I realize that most on this site would say that is a great trade, but I am wondering what a M-H 44 in dynamite original condition is going for these days. Can anyone help me on the value? I will probably sell this down the road after playing with it a little. These Masseys are quite nice machines.

if it runs, and all tires are up, dont matter condition they can bring a grand. if the paint is good tires good, no gear troubles, live pto lever, hydraulic pump, full crown fenders and working lights it can bring in unrestored condition almost $2000 here. note the good paint and tires. fully restored i have seen go for $4000 the 44-4 and the MM u are like tractors in hp, but i think that the u has a edge. the 44-6 has no power compaired to the 44-6, not as much torque.
