Hi y'all:

This is gonna be strange cause I am going to be asking a question about Canadian tractors.

Massey Harris Pony to be exact. My buddy Roger was able to get a sickle mower from me other buddy Alton at a real good price. The only problem is the pitman arm. Not there!

The problem is, is that we cannot find the part cause we do not know the part number, nor are we sure of the model number.

The only identifying marks on the mower anywhere is in the casting and it says MH-8. Hopefully this is the model number. Either way, it still is not all that useful at the moment, because our local CaseIH/Massey Ferguson dealer cannot find anything on the computer for a MH-8 or any mower that old.

So, the question is, those of you who collect the Massey Harris stuff, by any chance would you know the probable model number for a sickle mower that fits the Pony, Colt and Pacer? Also, would you have access to an owners manual, or a parts manual so we could get the part number at least.

Hoping for some good news, Thanks in advance all!

I have a couple of Massey Harris No.6 mowers as well as a complete parts manual and the set up manual. I can measure the pitman for you if your mower is a No. 6.
The mower is in storage and may take a day or two to get up to see what the length is.
Email me at [email protected]
Send a picture of your mower, I may be able to I.D. it
