When using my 1960 MF 50 ,the oil pressure gets very low (5 psi) after warming up. This tractor is a 4 cyl gas engine, it has been in my family for almost 30 years and has always had low oil pressure , but. now that it's getting a bit long in the tooth I figured I should fix the problem. The tractor was my Dads, but was handed down to me when he passed away. Some day it will get restored , but for now just want to keep her running. Thanks John

John,
If you wait much longer, you might not have an engine left to restore. First, get an accurate reading on that oil pressure. A new gauge and oil line will cost around $20. If the pressure is really 5 PSI, STOP RUNNING THE ENGINE. It needs to be fixed right now. You don't want to burn up the bearings, ruin the crankshaft, etc. That will cost BIGGER BUCKS than you want to put out. A new oil pump, bearings, and crank grind now will cost much less than where you're heading by continuing to run the engine with low oil pressure. Jim

John, sounds like bad bearings or oil pump. Although if it's been like that since new I'd check that gauge!
