What's the difference between a "swinging" drawbar and a "straight" drawbar? I've lost my drawbar and am trying to order a new one. The manual for my 2135 sez it's a swinging drawbar, but it sure doesn't swing. It can be slid forward if you pull out the pin, but you can't reattach the pin with it in any other position.
Can I order the "straight" drawbar and get along with it?
Also, the place I'm looking at it lists it at $65 (Straight) and $88 (swinging). Is this a reasonable price?

The swinging drawbar is exactly what it does. It has a mount that has a pin in the center in front. In the rear, the bar can swing left and right on the pivot pin in front and has several holes along the back to fix it at the position you want. It is used to draw a bottom plow offset behind the tractor so the furrow follows the rear tire. Since the width of rears varies between tractors, this adjusts the plow position.

Straight bars dont swing.

Was thisa a long enough post? SORRY

If you don't have a swinging drawbar mount, don't pay the extra for the swinging drawbar.
