Yeah, that sick feeling sound. was bushhogging yesterday morning. all of a sudden, i heard a slapping/knocking sound. its real pronounced up in the cab, but harder to hear from the sides of the engine. i tried my stesocope (that hearing thing doctors use) i can pick up more volume at the back of the engine but cannot pinpoint its source. seems to lessen when the engine is under load or accelerating. no loss in oil pressure. i'm guessing the piston wrist pin? anyone got experience tearing down the 1085 engine? Thanks for any help signed, the hurricane didn't get me but the perkins may.
