Any General opinions about the 40. What years were they built? Are they a good Loader tractor?

According to this site, you have a Ferguson F40 manufactured in 1956 or 1957. S/N - 400001 = 1956, 405671 = 1957.

A MH 40? Never heard of one. There were 30's and later some 50's, but a 40 is a puzzle. Other manufacturers made 40's but if MH did then I learned something new today. Where did the tractor come from?

I am not sure where it came from. I only spotted the Forty on the hood above the grill.

The F40 Fergy was the only thing I found here.
Kinda resembled the 50. I figured it to be built in the mid to late 50's like CT said.

I'll just have to take a closer look at it monday. The first general look it appeared to have been taken care of.

I will let you all know what After a closer inspection.

It's the Ferguson version of the MH 50. Many repainted as MF 50's later, but some had chrome letters,"40", on the grill nose, that were used
one year, changed next. No flying saucers on this
one.

Would probably confuse the parts guy. then he would say we don't have parts for those.
