I looked all over my tractor for the serail number and I think I finally found it. I know the serial 3 for the engine is MFC 140 G 30746. I knowm the carb is a TSX 34 and I can tell by the pictures on this site that it is either a 22 or 23. I checked along the frame on both sides and cannot find the number. On the transmission housing , to the left of the gear box I found " MH" stamped but below it the number 6333A was embossed not not stamped. Below this Canada was stamped. Is this the correct number for this tractor? I thought the number was stamped not raised? Should I keep looking on the frame? What do I have and what year and type is it. Iam sure it is a 1950 RC #22 Massey Harris but what do I know. Any ideas?

The number is stamped on the flat surface on the top left of the differentail case behind the PTO lever. You may have to scrape some dirt and paint to find it. Post it here and someone will tell you make and year.

Ron: My old tractor does not have a PTO.There is a plate with bolts there so maybe I will check around that area.l
