I am trying to rebuild a 444 gas engine that needs crankshaft main bearings that has the center flange bearing. Are there any of these avaliable? also I need to replace the rear main oil seal which I wonder if there are any of those avaliable. Can you tell me the difference between the 44 and the 444 rear main. Mine seal slides in with the main bearing cap, but some engines must use a seal that the halves bolt onto the rear of the egine with several screws.

David have not been keeping up on board so missed your post I just finished my 444 and the motor is the same as is a 277 contineal. Yes they do have a split seal but don,t know vendor but might be in archives. I think I used seal power gaskets. but will have to check package. Montes in Chicago has all of old cont. parts inventory just use Monties to find them. have a 800 no. If you need more help post on Mh board bob
