Hi Gina, I also have a TO-20 and have had it for over 30 years. There are two drain plugs, one at the bottom of the trans and one at the bottom of the rear end at the hydraulic pump. The filler is on top next to the trans. shifter. There is a dipstick on the right side under the seat for both the trans. and the rear end. To drain all of the oil from the trans. and the rear end you need to use both drain plugs. The oil I like to use is a transmission and hydraulic fluid combo. A Massy Ferguson dealer should have it. I have bought it at Walmart too though. The TO-20 is a great tractor. Have used it in the trade and now it mosty does chores around the house and launches boats. I would not part with it! I think it would be a good idea to buy a shop manual. It is a lot of help for the little things to. Happy Tractoring, Sivert

There are 3 drain plugs not two gearbox/hydralic pump and rear axle. The correct oil to use is as follows:-
Transmission and Hydraulic oil TE20- (all versions) and TO20 & T030 in USA There have been numerous questions asked as to what the correct oil is, so being as brief as possible this is the current general consensus of opinion. Bearing in mind that many of the tractors were manufactured 50 years ago and the oils that were available at that time were not so sophisticated as they are now. In the UK the correct grade of oil was SAE50, but to speed up lowering of trailers and loaders etc. SAE30/40 was widely used with no ill effects. In the USA it was quoted in the handbook 80/90-weight mineral oil. Massey # M1103 SAE90 above 50F or SAE80 below 50F, which after many, many discussions about it on here and other sites it was agreed that this is the same grade, but just quoted in the grading of the respective country.
In UK the transmission holds 5 imperial gallons, from completely empty
In USA the transmission holds 24 US Quarts, from completely empty.
All tractors have three drain plugs for Gearbox, Hydraulics and Rear axle.
It is recommended in the handbook that the oil should be changed every 750 working hours, or every 12 months (condensation is the biggest contaminant). To drain the system completely, it should be done while the oil is still hot after working and preferably left to drain overnight. Due to the lack of a filter in the system it is not desirable to use a multi-grade type oil which contains detergents, as this does not allow a sludge to form that will trap any foreign matter and condensation that occurs, so use a straight mineral oil as was specified when the system was designed.
