I have a TO35 and the implements I have been getting are all 6'. They only stick out a couple of inches on either side and I've had no problems. I'm wondering if a 6' bush hog is too wide. I think a 5' would really be too small and I would be spending extra time mowing. On the other hand I don't want to hang a mower. What do you guys use?

I have a MF35 and mow with a 5 ft. brush hog. I think about a 6 ft, but sometimes in real tall grass I have to go into lower gears. I like to mow in 1st or 2nd high. I dought if you could do that in tall grass with a 6 ft. I am talking pasture land with grass 1 to 2 ft high.

I HAVE A 5 FOOT BRUSH HOG FOR MY MF35 GAS. IT CUTS GREAT BUT IT MAKES THE TRACTOR A LITTLE LIGHT IN THE FRONT. THE FRONT TIRES SEEM TO PUSH STRAIGHT WHEN I TRY TO TURN.

I have been running a 5' on a MF50 diesel. The PTO is 38 hp. The gas, I believe for both 50 & 35 is about 32 hp.

My 50 runs the 5' bush hog with no problem and I like the cut. I had thought I'd get a 6' to extend out over the wheels but so far I am happy with the 5'.

Do you have a gas or diesel?

Bill

Too bad I can't get a 5 1/2' bush hog.

I have a '59 model TO 35 that runs gas. I really like it so far. I think it outweighs my 600 series by a quite a bit which is great as I will be moving some round bales this winter. The only problem to date is getting stuck in gear. I did a search here on how to solve that. And this morning I had a bit of trouble keeping it running at first. We've had rain for days and it's been sitting outside. Took about 3 tries to keep it running at an idle then it was fine. By next week it's be parked under a roof so that should solve that problem. Then I'll change all fluids and filters.
