I just purchased an MF150 with the AD3-152 Diesel. After 3 hours of mowing short grass with a 5' deck, there was a 'clank', and then it quit. The starter turns the engine over with very little resistance, and continues to wind down slowly after the starter is released. Basically, no compression. The fan, injector pump, etc. still turn over with the engine, so I think the crank is still in one piece. All the fluids check out clean and OK. Any ideas?

check to see if the rocker arms are moving. Sounds like the cam gear has given it up or come off. Let us know how you come out. David

Thanks David. I talked to a Massey shop yesterday and they were thinking along the same lines.
