I have a 165, and used to have a loader with a front pump on it, using the loader frame as the reservoir. I was wondering if there is any way I could plumb aux. hyraulics, using the tractor's rear end as a reservoir for the front pump? It is my only gas tractor running right now, and I would like to be able to use that on the spreader on those cold winter days, instead of fighting with my 285 or 1755 Oliver, while I'm working on my 1600 gas

Don- do you have the spin in/spin out rims on your 285? Do these have the same 8 hole pattern as 65, 50, etc.? How wide are the rims & what size tires do you run?

Yeah, it have the power adjust rims on it, we have 18.4-34's on it, dont know off hand width, but they came factory this way. We now have long-bar short-bar power mark's on it, 20 yrs old so we are doing a little more road driving now as the tires are fairly old and don't care all too much about the wear anymore. Kinda amazing as how the factory goodyear's only lasted about 5-10 years and they started peeling like a Firestone, but the powermarks are just starting to show signs of their age. overall a pretty good tire, but may go with Titan's (Armstrong before) like our 1755 came with(also 18.4-34's) and our 165(16.9-28's). We have 10.00 16's on the front also

P.S.-8 bolt pattern, think it's the same as all the others, but not 100%

Yes, you can tap in to the three point hydraulic reservoir. I have done it several times. I always tapped in through the access plate with the pto shift lever in it they make fitting that have a nut on then to tight up on the plate. If I can be of more help on this email me
